It has a custom post page. that in my oppinion gives it really clean look and feel.  feel free to give feed back.. I hope you guys and gals enjoy it Smiley

I am using a modified version of this template as my new default .. after *years* of using blk_gry3d (which was getting old) and looking for a replacement:

http://radified.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1241628219

Everybody seems to like it.

Pleased explain about using your own *.template files. Don't most themes simply tweak *.css & gfx and use YaBB's default *.template files???

Why not use them?

What is diff about yours?

I tried O-opacity, but it sukked major CPU cycles on my laptop. This template does not.

I always start with YaBBs default template files. sometimes though.. my templates have edits to the .template files.. so they must be included with the templates.. for example this templates most notable feature (to me atleast) is the way posts are displayed.. wich required edits to display.template ... if you were to use the default display.template file with this template.. it would not have the modified posts layout.
My next template to be released has edits to every template file aswell.. and even some source files(.pl) that will require a mod file to be used for those wanting the *complete* template lol
you can get a  early preview of it here... but I warn you.. there is still a little work to be dont to it Wink

That looks wicked, driven. All your templates have looked good, but I think that's possibly your best yet!

I am having trouble seeing buttons only:

Is your template NOT Y2.4?

Did you select menu style in template configuration?

Yes, I selected buttons-only there and also in Forum settings. i double-checked just now to make sure.

With this template, I see butons in IE8 while logged in as admin, but nowhere else, unless I change template to "forum default".

Why might that be?

Nevermind, I fixed it.

Long, convoluted explanation, but I resolved it. My fault.

No buttons for main nav (home , help, search, admin, user cp etc etc) as this template is uses the tab feature of yabb. but the old yabb2.1 style can be incorperated in place of tabs relatively easy.

For this style, I think so .. Plus you have the ability to add tabs for external links easily with them, wich is worth its weight in gold for many people.. With buttons.. you would have to first make a button to match others... then edit the html to add it

how does your template know to use the the .template files in the \midnyte folder and not those contained in the default folder?

if you deleted the midnyte template folder, the midnyte template would simply revert to using the .template files in the \default folder?
