This mod let members express their "mood today" by selecting a face.

After selecting a face it will be visible in the members posts for 24 hours - or untill the member selects another face.

I don't know whether to call this a bug or a feature, but one of my members brought it to my attention ... though the mood selector appears on all pages, since it is on the master template, for some reason it cannot be used on all pages.

On the board index, you can set your mood, on the topic list (selecting a thread to read) you can set it. In an actual thread, itself, if you try, you just get a 'no' circle, and it won't let you change it.

In case it was a bug, figured I would pass on word. Meanwhile, I'll let my member just know to change it from a different screen.

Strange - should be working in all pages - and it does on all my test boards. Do you have any mods installed that add some kind of javascript on the topics page?

The only mod I find that seems to use javascript anywhere near the page display is the Display Username History mod ... any chance these two are giving each other problems?

(Not a huge deal if they are, but might that be where the problem is coming from?)

Edited:
Nope ... that's not it. Removed the other mod, problem still remains.

But here's a thought ... if I grab the thing and change my mood in the thread view section in the first second or so, it will allow me to change it. After the first couple of seconds, it won't.

Is there any chance there might be some kind of conflict with the newest version of the image resize coding, which might well be in javascript?

As noted before, not a big issue, anyway, but I am at least trying to come up with solutions.

Edited:
Another edit ... was it one of your mods that included an option to recount a member's posts? Whatever mod that came from, might it be possible to get a really simple mod that just adds the ability to recount a member's posts?

Carsten, I love that mod!

And I did not mind, that you could just set it at the homepage.

But I have got one request.
In my board some people are using bright-colour templates and others dark.

Is it possible, that the colour of the mod pictures can be ajusted by the members or that the picture colour changes with the template, which is used???

what do you do with the dark_images? I have dark and light templates? How do you get it to use dark_images for dark templates and lighter ones for light templates?

Exactly that is my problem.
I, as the admin, have to decide between the dark images and the bright images.

When I have decided to take the dark images and the member chooses a dark coloured template, you nearly have no chance to see the images at all and if I have chosen to use the bright images and the member has chosen to use a bright coloured template it is the same.

I am not a modder, so I am not able to do it on my own, I would upload both (the dark and the bright images) in different folders, and then perhaps the directory of the images can be put in a file of the template or the member can choose on his/her own from which directory the files will be taken.

That is definetely just an idea of mine and I do not know at all, whether that can be realized.

I'll have a look at the image color problem soon. To be honest i never really payed much attention to this mod - actually just made it for the fun of it. But i was asked to update it - and so i did.  Smiley

Its a nice mod that my members really appreciate and use now.  For some reason women tend to use it more.  Smiley

they must go through more emotions than the men Smiley

hehe - that is indeed a fact of life  Wink

Added new zip package to first post. New folders in ModImages/moodtoday to hold the images for templates.

The images:

100_glad.gif
110_tilfreds.gif
120_sej.gif
130_normal.gif
140_fjoget.gif
150_svimmel.gif
160_flov.gif
170_bekymret.gif
180_bedrovet.gif
190_vred.gif

must be moved from
'ModImages/moodtoday'
to new folders with the templates names like:
'ModImages/moodtoday/default'.

Just wondering if this will come to 2.4?

Tried to update this myself, for my own use, but I couldn't figure out how to modify steps 4 & 7 to work with 2.4.

Is an eventual update planned for this?
