Description:

This mod allows users and guests (if Guestposting enabled) to add a topic description into first post for MessageIndex.

Installation:

batchman Global Moderator Offline Posts: 1280	Reply #4 - 28.12.08 at 22:58:24 I ran into a minor problem installing this. There is a step in Post.pl that was looking for a 237, when my file had a 257. I don't know of any mod that would have made such a miniscule change. Just passing on word.

At an replay, TD is deleted. At whether with or without YPI, result both like. A right version was used. Where is the fault? Message Index was Rebuild after Install. Many thanks.

Looks like this has had an update. I will download the update and try it.

Reporting a problem here that may have already been fixed, and may or may not have been in part due to this mod, and in part something with YaBB itself.

I installed a brand new forum, then installed this mod. The first thread I created in the Test Board was to test this mod. The topic descriptions seemed to work fine. But when I went back to the board index, it still showed the test board as having no posts and no threads.

I added a second thread with a topic description, and the board inde still showed no topics and no posts on the board.

I added a third thread, this time without a topic description. This time the board index acknowledged that there were three threads in there, with x number of posts.

Now, a few days later, the topic descriptions I had entered on threads on the Test category have vanished, though the posts themselves are still there.

Topic descriptions I created for a third category, just to do even more testing, showed up immedietely in Board Index, and still have their topic descriptions, even though they have vanished in the other one.

Hopefully this has all already been taken care of, but I had to mention it.

And on a new 2.3.1 install, this was still looking for a width 437, when what Post.pl actually has is 457.

I cannot confirm your problem. I test it intensive. Are you sure that you Rebuild MessageIndex that you follow the Instruction first before make a topic with Topic Description?

that not true boy. Fresh Install have this in line 778
