Languages (as of 1.4): English, Dutch

There's not too much to say about this mod. It adds an area into the Admin Center for you to choose what template is loaded on what board. You can also select templates for a category.

Both category and board level templates change the template on the topic index (MessageIndex.pl), the topic itself (Display.pl), and the post page (Post.pl).

If you set a category template, it also changes the template on the category selection part of the board index (BoardIndex.pl).

There's one more option I included, which sets if your templates set here should override a user's choice or not.

In version 1.2, the ability to add template specific menu defs was added. See the post announcing 1.2 for more details. This was rewritten in 1.3. Check out the "Template Configuration" area in the Admin Center to change your menu style.

Note: This mod was written and tested mostly on YaBB 2.1. It should work on YaBB 2.0 though.

Note2: I included the imgloc bugfix in versions above 1.1. It's in CVS, but I felt it'd be nice to include it here as well.

To install:
Use BoardMod like normal
Upload these files in Sources/: BoardIndex.pl, MessageIndex.pl, Display.pl, Post.pl, Load.pl
Upload these files in Admin/: Modlist.pl, AdminSubList.pl, BoardTemplates.pl (provided in zip)
Upload AdminIndex.pl
Upload Languages/English/BoardTemplates.lng (provided in zip)

Version History:
1.4 (YaBB 2.0/2.1): Massive bugfix updates. Also added Dutch lng pack. (March 13th, 2006)
1.3 (YaBB 2.0/2.1): Rewrote the code changing menu styles and put it into the ManageTemplates section. (December 23rd, 2005)
1.2 (YaBB 2.0/2.1): Changed the arrangement of boards and categories in the Admin section to match the view on the Board Index. Added the ability to use a different .def file with a template. (December 8th, 2005)
1.1 (YaBB 2.0/2.1): Fixed bug with announcements board. Fixed bug with a board template replacing a user-set template in their profile. Updated the Language file. (November 20th, 2005)
1.0 (YaBB 2.0/2.1): Mod package made available on BoardMod. (November 11th, 2005)

Yep, the idea is it can override anything if the admin sets it to override user set templates, which is the default.

If you want it to not block it, changing the override setting in the admin center should make it work.

Yeah. These two mods probably aren't the best to co-exist. If you want that much control over the user's template, you probably should deinstall Set Template in URL.

Bug Report:  Once you visit a forum with a template other than the default and post in it, your profile options are changed so your default is the last template you saw.  This means that when people visit the joke 'lurid pink' forum on my site, they are stuck seeing that every time they return to the index.

If you would, try this new BoardTemplates.pl (rename from .txt to .pl) and see if it fixes the problem. Upload it to your admin directory, go into the BoardTemplates settings and submit the changes again.

My smilie row is text instead of images on a board set to use a new template, but isn't supposed to be - possible bug report.

Could I have a link to that page? I'll register if it's members only.

I found the problem. It's actually a YaBB 2 bug. I also found another bug relating to Global Announcements. Since I'll fix the YaBB 2 bug in the actual YaBB 2 code, I'll include a modfile to fix that as needed.

1.1 will come out shortly with these fixes, hopefully tonight.
