For all who want to see a highly modded YaBB SP 1.3.1 (114 mods installed), click the link in 1st post. I changed many things meanwhile.

For guests it doesn't look as nice as it does for members. Members have more menu items and a side menu for example.

The right graphic on top is a table background graphic coz some people still surf with 800 x 600 and therefor the graphic disappears for them and they don't have to scroll horizontally on board index. The grapics look a little bad if you have set your monitor brightness to a high level (they're higly compressed to save server traffic), but I call it Silent Hill style, hehe.

Today I copied the menu and some other stuff from top also to bottom and also some statistics from info center to top besides the forum's name (inserted a table in BoardIndex.pl for that).

Some browsers won't show the scroll bar borders, so don't wonder where the scroll bar is. It's because of the used CSS styles, dunno why some browsers don't understand them correctly.

Well, rest is a matter of taste I would say  Grin . I put many nights in that forum although most members already found it perfect weeks ago.

most browsers won't show scroll bar colors, because that css code is not "official"

your forum looks nice, but there are so many ads..

There is only ONE ad (Google) Wink . The buttons are to vote, the white banner is for donation purposes for the flood victims in Sri Lanka etc. and Amazon and Google are simply to search from our forum without opening the sites first.

CSS styles... the browsers I'm talking of do show the CSS styles on the scroll bar... but not the borders. You see a black scroll bar on black background and so you cannot see the position of the scroll bar. For example with Maxthon browser.

Here is the CSS code I use for the scroll bars... perhaps someone has a tip for me why only IE shows the borders?

Code:
body {
scrollbar-DarkShadow-Color:#000000;
scrollbar-Track-Color:#000000;
scrollbar-Face-Color:#000000;
scrollbar-Shadow-Color:#000000;
scrollbar-Highlight-Color:#000000;
scrollbar-3dLight-Color:#999999;
scrollbar-Arrow-Color:#999999;
background-color: #000000;
}

like i said before, those scrollbar- css codes aren't "official"

like you will see on the official css validator of W3C
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http://www.diplompsychopath.de/...

it does not see those codes as valid, because..they're not official and only work on IE

Diggin' up the thread again... many things have changed since I started it... mods increased to ~150 - my own code not included.

Own mods are for example:
- OverLib mouseover "popups" which give additional information and are also responsible for the annoying popup window for guests  Grin

- Colorized online list and last 15 members online depending on what group they are in (rather similar to Y2)

- Much more statistics, for example average posts per day, average registrations per day, average age of the members, existing time of the board in days and years, the most members online stuff similar to Y2 but with own code and so on - just have a look at the Info Center

- Firefox optimized (kinda like Y2)

Well, there are many other own functions I coded, but they're only visible for members or for the admin/moderators, so it doesn't make sense to list 'em here.

It may be that the board reacts very slow, that's because of the time difference between Germany and for example the USA, and in the night some other people on the server activate their backup routines which slow down the server and also my board dramatically.
