i understood you well - how about create a thread with the same name like the albumname under a new section called 'albums' .. maybe add a link to that album, too ?
it would be more comfortable for you and me, cause you have all the functions ( smileys, etc.) for your comments and i don't have to program a whole message board which is intergrated in the gallery (!) ...

NOOOOOO louslie don't, my preview mod ( still w.i.p. ) has gone far to long already, I kind had to create 30 % new MessageIndex stuff and 40 % new Post disply stuff, well I could maybe cut it down a bit but still, and how fun is to mod a board that have a kind of duplicate stuff, well I've gone to long with my mod so now it's better to keep workin.

I agree fully with you loui , it's better and easier to use the forum. for e.g. if shoutbox is installed, why not put 3 words there, Check XXX Album.

Well I can understand the idea of the comment thing but I think its better if you keep on workin with the important stuff whatever it might be Grin

@tracom I think I found the prob. Deinstall your perl 5.8 which you are using. then delete the perl dir. Install perl 5.6 instead and it should work. there is an increased security in Perl 5.8 which is good but could be the reason why this error happens.

If my advice helps wait til louslie have fixed the mod, you can use 5.6 at mean time...

The problem seems to affect file attachments mod too

This worked for me when I reinstalled gallery on my machine yeserday since I got the same error as you tracom.

This is atleast what I think but I could be wrong...

@Louslie, I don't know which module in perl that handles these things but you might know and then you maybe could find whats changed in perl 5.8

I've tried Louisle's mod for 1.3.1 but I get 2 or 3 errors in the Boardmod when I try to install. Any ideas? Thank you, Eric
