Name: More Board and Category Options 2
Version: 2.0
Description:

The mod gives you a new link on the admin-Center: More Options for Boards/Categories
It allows you to
1. Passwort protect boards
2. Set an icon for every board/category which will be displayed on the BoardIndex
3. Define which membergroups/users are allowed to a) start topics, b)post replies to topics, and c) are allowed to view topics, for each board of your forum.

Ponts to take into consideration:

~ When a user logs into a password protected board, it sets a cookie to say access has been granted. This cookie is deleted when the user logs out or after a certain time limit has expired which is set using the standard "Default Length for login cookies to last (in minutes)" admin setting.

~ Guests can log into password protected boards, but they do not have a logout option, so the cookie will remain active until the time limit expires! (if this is a problem we could always set up a second "Guest" time limit.)

~ Enter usernames and membergroups (including the special tags) into the appropriate boxes in comma, seperated, lists. Please note that these are CaSe SeNsItIvE! Post dependant membergroups should be AMM compatible.

~ Administrators are immune to all password or access checks, Global Moderators aren't!

~ When entering Catagory and Board picures, you can enter just a filename and extention if the file is in your YaBB Images directory, If the file is stored anywhere else, you can enter the URL or path relative to the YaBB.pl file.

~ I don't think this has been tested for compatibility with the announcement boards mod, but I suspect you could run both. (But why would you want to!)

~ You may have noticed the new look admin panel in this version - just use the drop down selector to choose which catagory/board you want to edit, then wait for the information to load!

~ "YaBB Administrator" is not a group. Administrator, however, is. Post dependant group's should be entered in as the text you have in "Edit Membergroups" within the admin center. What thismeans, therefore, is that if you have called "YaBB God", "Cool guy", you enter in Cool Guy" in the more boards and category options text box.

~ If both user and membergroup text boxes are empty for a function such as post, rpely, or view, it is assumed that users have FULL access to that function for that board!

Instructions:

For users upgrading from version 1.2 of this mod:
1. Write down all your settings
2. Uninstall the 1.2 version of the mod
3. Overwrite your old MBCOptions.pl with the one from this zip file
4. Delete all .mbo and all .mco files from your boards folder
5. Install the mod using boardmod
6. Reapply your settings fromt he amdin center

For new users:
1. Put the images included in the zip file into your yabbimages directory
2. Put MBCOptions.pl into your sources directory
3. Install the mod using boardmod (read http://boardmod.yabbforum.com/faq.php if you do not know how to install mods)

Saddo, just saying it didn't work doesn't help anybody...

...what version of YaBB are you using?
...did it install using boardmod?
...if it didn't, what step did it fail at?
...if it did, what wasn't working?
...did you follow the instructions?
...did you upload all the modified files?
...what other mods do you have installed?
...could you see the "More Board / Catagory Options" link in the admin area?
...did it do anything when you clicked it?
...if you set any board/catagory pictures, did they appear on the board index?
...can you password protect board? and gain access to them by entering the password?

(Answers to these questions and more help us identify the problem, otherwise we can only guess at the solution.)
