I've installed the final but some of my users still get the bug of the password keep challenging them even after they entered it.

+ They go to a passworded board.
+ They enter the password

2 Things can happen.

They get a list of topics, they read and go to reply, when they click to submit the reply they get challenged for the password again.

OR

They get to the topics and click on one and it challenges them again.

I isntalled this mod along with all my other mods on a fresh install of YaBB 1 Gold - SP 1.1. I did erase all of my old .MBO and .MCO files.

Please advise.

It's trying to find this string: Quote: if($yySetCookies1 \|\| $yySetCookies2) { print header(-cookie=>[$yySetCookies1, $yySetCookies2]); } else { print header(-status=>'200 OK'); } But when I manually edit Subs.pl, it's there. I don't know if it is a space too many or what. -Jazhawk

Something must have got lost in the translation, because it should be a single tab at the start of each of those lines, and not spaces.

With BoardMod 2.5.1 Beta 3. No errors on install.

Other mods installed with no troubles as well into the fresh install of YaBB.

I asked my users to clear their cache/temp internet files/and delete all cookies. That didn't help them.

Please advise.

BHRA Webmaster Mod Author of the Year 2002 Offline Posts: 5238	Reply #41 - 16.07.02 at 12:44:04 Try "borrowing" the username and password of one of your users who has reported this problem, then login using that account. Do you experience the same problem? (ie is it specific to their computers, or their accounts?) [edit: also try entering the password as a guest and see what happens]

OK, I borrowed a problem account and logged in from 3 mof my machines and didn't get the problem.

However, I lost power this morning to the server and I have 3 more users getting this issue.

They've all rebooted, cleared cache, temp inet files, and cookies to no help.

I went for voodoo and deleted all the MBO/MCO in /Boards/ and the .mbo file as well. And in /Variables the boards.pwd file.

I then reset all the passwords on the proper forums and 1 our of the 5 (known) users having this issue started working. The other 4 even after deleteing everything above still can't get access. They go in a loop so to speak.

I had one of the troubled users logon to another account (my test account, non-admin) to see if it would do it there as well. And it did, so I'm leaning that it is something on their side, but why would it come up out of the blue for 5 of them like that?

I'm at a complete loss as to what to do. I can't get it to work from my machines.

Hi BHRA
I'm using BoardMod 2.5.1 beta3 and it has worked great on some troublesome mods, but this mod is hanging up at this one place.

Help me out BHRA since I'm not great with this stuff yet. What's missing?
