Currently using SP1 no problem. Have only two mods installed:

* latest security
* poll mod

About halfway thru, I get the following error:

http://radified.com/gfx/yabb_sp11.gif

Thx for any help.

That's the security mod which causes this error. You have to uninstall it since SP1.1 already includes this mod.

try the manual uninstall. the mod isn't that big and shouldn't take too much time to remove it by hand.

I am unable to find the first section of code that is specified for the uninstall. The manual method tells me to find the follow section of code:

$message =~ s~\[img\]\n?javascript\Sad.+?)\n?\[/img\]~\[ img\]javascript\:$1\[/img \]~isg;
     if($message =~ m~\[img\]\n?(.+?)\n?\[/img\]~gi && $1 !~ m~javascript\:~gi) { $message =~ s~\[img\]\n?(.+?)\n?\[/img\]~<img src="$1" alt="" border="0">~isg; }

(this is only a portion)

.. but after looking thru the code, I searched for the word 'javascript' and it wasn't found.

Do you think the poll mod has already modified this section of code?

Oh wait. Something is wrong. There are no checks in the boxes .. indicating that the mods are not installed. I think this is why I am getting the error .. because it's trying to *install* the mods .. not uninstall.

Shouldn't there be a check in the box if the mods are installed?

Then I should *remove* the checkmark from the box to uUNinstall, right?

Isn't that how it should work?

There is no check in the box for the poll mod either .. I'm confused.

yes if you want to uninstall a mod, you need to "uncheck" it. The only reason why the box is no longer checked could be that you cleared the log file. That would remove any install information.

What you can do is to "force uninstall". Todo that, hold down the CTRL key and check the mod's box. That will reverse it's status. Then use the normal uninstall way, it should even work automatically

The only thing I can think of is that I have since done a complete re-install of my OS (W2K), and perhaps BM installs some files/data there, which tell the program if a particular mod has been instaled or not.

Could this be the case?

If so, how would I proceed from here?

The mods are definitely installed, cuz I have tested the poll mod and it works, yet BM shows it with no check mark in the box.

press ctrl and hit the boxes.  boardmod keeps a log of the mods u have installed and a format would have messed it up Smiley

Also the director has been moved. It used to be on K;\ .. now, after system re-install it is now located on L:\

So maybe it just can't FIND the log file. How would I tell it where to look?

Maybe I should just move everything to the new K:\ drive?

If the boardmod folder has moved to another location it will still find the log file but it's entries don't fit anymore. Open install.log and take a look at the lines. You might have to change the drive letters in every line
