Wow!! Nice Mod Xonder!  Installs fine into Yabb2.4.  Only a minor change ,because of other Mods, with search for "subs.pl " in BoardMod.  Beautiful  graphics and I like that it keeps the Forum's headers in view.  Great work!!!

Hi Xonder

Before I install.  Can members change location?

I see nothing on your demo where this can happen.  It is set in Admin for London and only shows surrounding places.

I am in Australia but have members in central and northern America and Europe.  Can they set to their own countries.

Thanks

In beta1 only the admin can set a weather location.

This is stuff for next versions ....  work around!?

Access Settings/Search:
- select membergroups are allowed to view weather
- allow members to set private location (profile)
- or search feld for citysearch (weather display)

In beta1 only the admin can set a weather location.

What you can do in the meantime is to add a "Weather" tab to your menu that opens to the city of your choice in a folder on your own site (using an iFrame in an index.html or index.htm file).

As such, you'd have the menu tab linking to the following in a new window in an iFrame (obviously replacing boardmod.org with your own domain):

http://www.boardmod.org/weather

Let's say your default city is Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.

As such, you might have the following notice just above that iFrame:

Quote:

Note: The weather below is set for Los Angeles, California. However,
you can easily change this by typing your city in the search window below.

Click here to break free into a new window (this might make it easier for you to view).

As for your iFrame, the following is for Los Angeles, CA:

Code
Select All
<iframe style="width:1000px;height:800px;border:0px;" src="http://www.wunderground.com/US/CA/Los_Angeles.html" frameborder=0 marginwidth=0 marginheight=0 scrolling=yes>Sorry, your browser doesn't support iframes.</iframe>

Adjust the width and height as desired, use your city of choice, and you're good to go. A mod without a mod. Thumbs Upsup:

Edited:
I inadvertently posted a less appropriate coding in the iFrame above to showcase the weather in Los Angeles, CA (subsequently corrected). Or more accurately, a more appropriate coding has been updated as it's shown below.

Less appropriate coding: http://www.wunderground.com/auto/wxmap/CA/Los_Angeles.html

More appropriate coding: http://www.wunderground.com/US/CA/Los_Angeles.html

Already done something similar Bill with the "Custom Page Mod" however like the integration of this one completely.

See here - http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=weather

I will wait for updates for this one Smiley

Very cool mod! Smiley

Ironically, I kind of duplicated this mod without knowing it. Go figure.

My favorite part, "Enables you to transform your board into a website, while keeping the same template used for everypage."

Has anyone checked if it is allowed to integrate the WunderMap in an iframe (Terms of Service) ? Otherwise it would be no problem to code the maps in the WeatherMod itself.

I've checked this. I always do. Basically, the following is what matters (source - see "DATA FEEDS"):

Quote:
As with all data that you access from the Site, the data that you pull from Wunderground Data Feed may only be used by you for personal, non-commercial purposes. If you want to use that data for commercial purposes, contact us through the Site and we will supply you with rate information for commercial customers.
