is there any particular reason why you did not post your latest mods to this board and instead just a general link to it?

I'm a bit concerned because if mod authors stop posting their mods here, we start loosing the only central place for yabb mods.

I could leave it for Carsten to answer, but I think he's already mentioned on his forum, its nothing against the site, itself, but with the new location on SourceForge, things are frequently quite a bit slower and more difficult to load.

Hence, faster an easier downloads off his own site.

Improving my forum, one mod at a time!

Now up and running again, with an accurate link.

Since the move to SF, BoardMod has been extremely slow at times.

My only concern (as allways) is for the users to get easy access to mods and tweeks to improve usability of YaBB. No doubt; I fully support the consept of having a 'one stop' site for mods.

That said, it's important to me to have dedicated reviewers testing my mods. If you take a look at the downloads/replies to the latest mods released here on BoardMod you have to admit it's not satisfying compared to the amount of time spend on making mods.

If you do not want me to continue this approach, just say the word, and i will remove my topic.

From my forum Quote:
My reason for doing it this way is that BoardMod is extremely slow at times and i got tired of waiting for seperate topics to open and i assume other users are too.

Should BoardMod get faster i'll split my mods into seperate topics again.

I ... have to apologize for the slowdown. My fault, seriously Roll Eyes

Although I wrote the new locking code to make yabb work on sourceforge, I actually never enabled it on this forum. I didn't realize it because for me, it didn't slow down. I just corrected this, so it should now always run in the same "speed" as yabbforum.com.

I have no problem with having feedback and development for the mods taking place in your own board. But it would be nice to have at least one topic per mod to keep things organized. Sourceforge might not be the fastest host, but it's one of the safest for sure. This site will be up and running for centuries, so anything uploaded here will never get lost. Grin

Much better now Michael - good job!

Added seperate topics for each mod now.
