how does your template know to use the the .template files in the \midnyte folder and not those contained in the default folder?

if you deleted the midnyte template folder, the midnyte template would simply revert to using the .template files in the \default folder?

when you installed it.. you set template configuration in admin center..you told yabb where the template files were  Wink
to the second question..
No.. if you have it correctly installed.. you would have to go through the template configuration in admin..else.. it would be looking for files no longer on your server.
and to third question..
The slightly rounded corners??.... the way the user info section.. is seperated slightly from the post???.... the container background shows both between users info and above/below????... not to mention.. the members info section.. (black area) does not grow with the actual post... do you not see it? I do as guest on your site...

Yes, I do. And I like it. Just wanted to be sure what you were referring to.

Nice work!

I have been looking for *years* (literally) for a template to replace the blk_gry3d one In was using previously.

My next template to be released has edits to every template file aswell.. and even some source files(.pl) that will require a mod file to be used for those wanting the *complete* template lol
you can get aearly preview of it here... but I warn you.. there is still a little work to be dont to it

Just checked out your new template.

Wow. I must admit .. that is very nice. Downright professonal.

Nicely balanced. Small touches add class.

The soldier theme would not work for me, but hopefully, by changing the background-title graphic (maybe to something containing radiation tri-blade symbols...), I would be able to make it work for my site.

Again, impressive work. I have seen pro-themes for CMS systems that don't look that good.

Umm .. can you tell me why I don't have the "add a new tab" tabs?

Thought I saw them before.

Nevermind, I was not logged in.  Embarrassed

Am I wrong or are you NOT using this template for your own website?

I see you seem to have a transparent design (which I like) .. tho *your* (particular) transparent design does not seem to kill my CPU the way O-opacity does.

Can you tell me a little about the transparent design used on your main site forum?

I mean here:

For my forum, I see no "add a tab" or "edit tab" buttons while logged in as non-admin users in both firefox and seamonkey.

is that weird? abnormal?

i *do* see them logged is as admin in IE8.

Think about this for a second.  Who do you want to be adding tabs to your forum's menu?  The Admin?  Any user who comes by?

You only see them if you are logged in as the Admin.

I used css  to add them .. it uses <div> to create them.

Thanks. I hadn't delved into the intracacies of tabs yet, so did not understand how they work.

I see no probs with my users config'ing their interface to add tabs they might find helpful. Just as I see no problem if they choose a different template.

What harm might be done?

While we're on the topic, what are some popular/typical uses of tabs that others are incorporating into their forums?

The *good* thing is that my forum is working the way it should.  Smiley

that might be a better topic on Yabbforum talk it up thread.. but.. you can use the add tab feature to  link other pages of your site..  some use it to add links to games or album pages they create etc. etc.
