Wow I just tried this template and it is by far the best template I've used to date.  Excellent work driven.  I've been trying to get the shoutbox background and text to resemble this mod but wow does it ever look nice.

Thanks Smiley
The shoutbox should use the template, it uses the default template  (or template a user has selected in profile)

yeah the shoutbox itself seems to use the template but the text area is not transparent and is a big white block that is hard on the eyes when the rest is dark.

I'm trying to tweak the shoutbox code so that the text area of the shoutbox is transparent like the rest of the forum.  This will look awesome.

shouldnt be too hard... would need to make some new images... of course it would only effect the side and top areas..

well if it could have the same color theme thats all. it doesnt have to be transparent like the forum.  I'll play with it after I get the shoutbox working Smiley

Edit: irrelevant posts removed - sorry

@magnum
looks great magnun! just out of curiousity.. what did you set your transparency at? i went around 50 and 60 but still a bit hard to see the alternating colors on darker schemes. I debated on putting this one up for release..but then figured  why not. it will allow for fast and easy changes of page looks without alot of work Wink

Sorry I'm months late in replying Grin

I pretty much just had to keep tinkering around with opacity levels. What I did was set everything up in photoshop the way the board would look and then messed with the opacity against the background that way until I found something that worked.

My only problem now and I was wondering if you have come across this is that my page loads are MUCH slower with this type of background. I'd have preferred to be able to not use images but opacity css codes but I couldn't get anything to work using css.

I have a very fast connection... but anytime you have more to load.. it will take longer..the background should be optimized for web use making it as small in file size as possible.  including the the ones used to  to create the opacity.. I dont remember the pixel size i made mine.. I think it was 10px by 10px ...could & should have made it smaller still.. maybe 6x6. ..once its cached.. it will load faster.

This is a great Template.  I just upgraded from 2.2 to 2.3.1 which had black theme, so this template is PERFECT.  I am fairly new to this all this.  I do have a question,  I can't find where to change the color for all the icons at the top of a board.  The text next to the icons is black on the black background.  The text next to the icons I am talking about are on the Boards, the Start New Topic, Create Poll, Notify of Replies, and Mark Topics Read text.  Haven't quite figured how to change the opacity setting yet but will experiment.

Thanks,
Bob
