Its interesting. The search box doesn't appear unless you have Addition Store Folders turned on. Yet in mine, it is disabled but the search box still displays. At least it is coming up in the left and right areas properly now.

However, the borders are still missing!

Im gonna have a look at my code...

Alright, well on your site everything is working as it should be. And I just noticed that the padding is there for the border to be displayed behind it. Unfortunately the background image is what is missing. I DLed your stylesheet and the right selector is there (TitleRepeat), but when I tried to access the image ./default/TitleBGRepeat.gif it doesn't work! However, other images do. Make sure you have that file in the default folder of your templates. I think that is what is missing.

Ah, right.

I just though I'd post these screen shots for you to have a look at...

It doesn't do it on your forum, but on mine the background image starts to repeat itself (FireFox on the PC)

Oh, and this is your website in Safari...

Just thought you might want to know.

It is there, but it's a small 'r' not a big one...

/Templates/Forum/default/TitleBGrepeat.gif

not

/Templates/Forum/default/TitleBGRepeat.gif

That is very interesting indeed. Same exact code as my forum basically...yet different appearences.

And im positive I know the issue with Safari. This issue used to happen with older versions of IE. When a <td> is empty, its CSS contents are not displayed. The missing tops and bottom are tds that have no text/images/whatever within them, just a background image and a height property.

To change this you would have to put a link to the image inside the td and remove the class (same url as the one in the stylsheet, just not in the stylesheet anymore). I unhardcoded the images so that they specifically could be changed from the stylesheet.

I guess if people have safari users they are just going to have to re-hard code them in... Thats a real bust. I might try googling for a quick-fix. Maybe something I can add to the header so I/Anyone else doesnt have to re-change all the files just for a few safari users.

I'll have to do some research as to why that one border isnt showing up.

And I just realized that my Register.pl is updated...I just didnt inlcude it in the .mod DOH! I'll fix that and look at that border issue.

EDIT: Wait! That could be it! In the stylesheet, it referenecs the .gif with a capital R! Apparently my server doesn't care for case-sensitive-ness, but maybe your server does. Try changing it to a lower case R in the stylesheet and see what happens. Actually, Ill do it since I can log in  Wink

FIXED!!!

It's cool anyway. At least people have got a nice template they can use.
If they do have problems they can read back through this thread and if they need to make a few changes or hard code it, they can.

Nice one!

Ah, right... cool!

I take it you're on a Windows server... Windows servers aren't case sensitive, but Linux are... I'm on Linux.

I've always found that the most annoying thing with web design... getting everything to look the same in all browsers.

Hopefully people use it after all this. Smiley

Weird huh? I don't understand it either.

New .mod is coming with updated Register.pl. Testing now.

EDIT: Finished. The new one will be up when the download counter says 0 again on the original post  Wink

No worries... It's nice to see someone enthusiastic and creating something fresh for YaBB!

Anyway, it uninstalled and re-installed fine. You need to change the 'R' thing in the style sheet though for the .zip download.

Also, in message display, just under 'Pages: *' there should be an image 'spacer.gif' - but it's not in the download... if that means anything to you.

Anyway... Cool! Thanks! Nice one!

Alright, Ill take a look at that. I dont ever remember a spacer.gif. It could be a remnant of a past template.

When I re-upload I'll probably add a bit to the readme on what to add to your tables if you have extras installed that need rounded corners. Just in case you need it, here it is:

For a small bottom and top rounded corner with the padding on each side:
Code
Select All
<table cellspacing="0" border="0" width="100%">
<tr>
<td class="TopSmall" height="8"></td>
</tr>
<table>
<div class="outline">
Everything you want inside goes here. Can be another table.
</div>
<table cellspacing="0" border="0" width="100%">
<tr>
<td class="CatBottom" height="8"></td>
</tr>
<table>

and for sections where you want the title to be in the top rounded corner area:
Code
Select All
<table cellspacing="0" border="0" width="100%">
<tr>
<td class="tabtitle" height="30">
Title/whatever you want in the rounded border
</td>
</tr>
<table>
<div class="outline">
The rest of what you want inside the borders (but not on the bluish/grayish background).
</div>
<table cellspacing="0" border="0" width="100%">
<tr>
<td class="CatBottom" height="8"></td>
</tr>
<table>

Cheesy
