Is there anyway of modifying the files so that videos from youtube.co.uk or youtube.it work? At the moment it won't let me embed videos from the regional sites.

Having the same problem .. in that (http://uk.youtube.com) uk youtube vids wont play .. not sure why this would be . is there a fix ?

Hi

I visited the 'uk.youtube' site and copied a random link but it works ok for me?

For instance I copied the link that was supplied:

Code
Select All
<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/hed4BC_z-BQ&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/hed4BC_z-BQ&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

And changed it to:

Code
Select All
[media width=650]http://www.youtube.com/v/hed4BC_z-BQ&rel=1[/media]

I hope this works for you if not then sorry if I misunderstood the problem.

Thanks for the reply but the problem is when you use different URLs. Normal youtube.com/XYZ addresses are ok.

For example you're unable to post.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=dBvDm_JLEcI

I've tried modifying the code but it didn't work.

New Version online attached to the first message (not the link to the database)

Now supporting Google Video, flv format, divx and xdiv and mp4 (depending on installed codex)

Nothing to add here Smiley

Theoretically you could just replace MediaCenter.pl and upload mediaplayer.swf in order for it to work, however in the mods installed the wrong version number would be displayed.

Hey guys, I have a problem with this entire install Sad

I followed everything down to a T and it seems not to be working.

I checked and doublechecked all of the CHMOD settings.

some background info, I believe i'm using 2.0 Final,

I have put some other boardmods on that are working perfectly. (ie quick reply)

so yeah, I put the MOD file for the media mod into the board mod yabb2.0 directory... Apply the mod
Upload all of the files specified... and it didn't work. Anything in the [media.] tag simply comes up as text...
http://www.g54b.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1205453514 ((the last post is an example))...
I tried Mp3s as well as wavs and mpegs, nothing works.  I tried in IE as well as mozilla.

Then I tried installing 1.9, which had a swf file in the instructions. I completed that ... still it does not work.

Some observations that I made: If i put a space at the end of the URL for the media file, the entire [media.] tag doesn't show up .... where if i do it without spaces it shows up, just doesn't work.

A username you guys can use to help diagnose is
"Waxing"  the password for that account is "boardmod"

The media button comes and works so the YabbC and Post.pl part seem to be working, but  I assume the JS and SWF file aren't doing their job?

Anyone have any input

you can reach me on AIM at dajoka87

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I know I'm a n00b to this but I'm a car guy, not a computer guy Wink
