Project ex's new look

I just redid the layout for Project ex.  No longer using YaBB SP 1.3.2, but am using SMF, which is developed by those who developed YaBBSE.  Although, layout is matching between the two.

Any comments/suggestions are welcome.

You using SMF I can forgive as it is sort of family, allthough boardmod is dedicated to the perl versions of YaBB.

Back to your board, the verdict Grin
Graphics are very nicely done, especially the border graphics on the index, but the fixed width of the board, aligning to the left, makes me only use half my screen on 1024x768, which isn't such an uncommon resolution people now look in.
It give anunplesant and unbalanced view with a large dark bar on the right site of the screen.

Nothing to add here Smiley

Thanks for the heads up Ron!  I actually forgot all about that (I use 800x600, even though I did think about checking other resolutions... lol)

It's fixed!

I'm glad you like the graphics... they took a while!

Much better when centered.
There is one suggestion I have on the side menu and that is to close the graphics outlines there on the right side to.
Now it looks a little cut off as the areas are all open.

Yup.  I agree 100% with Ron.  That forum looks great.  I really like the simple, yet elegant look.  Nice work.

Currently using Y2.3 With no mods (though that will hopefully change, soon).

I would, but the site is designed / optimized for viewing in 800x600.

There is nothing wrong with fixed width Wink

By closing the left side elements of the menu I only mean to close the loops around it (so the nice graphic borders, like they are in the index.

Now it looks like someone had a ruler and a sharp knife and just sliced off the round edges on the left side of the menu part.

let see if I can visualise it for you in ASCII
Now they look like:

______
______)

While they look smoother looking like:

______
(______)
