Wonderful. It's working perfectly now Grin

I've packaged it up and you can download the zip folder  manual_weather_mod.zip

I've included 2 versions of the mod. 1 for a clean install (needs checking out that it fits the info center) and the version for users with the 'WHOS ONLINE' mod.

I removed my forum specific mebergruop. It does include the extra Max/Min Temp, Humidity and pressure inputs I used as well as the shtml file used for easier access to all the icons.

Also needs someone with boardmod to check that it works.

Tell me what you think!

...and thanks again for all your help astro-pilot.

Just to note - when someone first installs the mod, rthey don't need to add the weather.info file.  the mod will create the file itself.

I'll install it on my testboard a little later.  I have 7 year olds B-day party to go to (with roller skating).  This should be fun?!?!?!

PS It looks good!

I hope your still in one piece after your B-Day party Grin

I have slightly amended the upload zip file to include a 'severe weather warning' line. You might want to install the newer file.

Looks like this:

Regarding the weather.info file, I thought by pre-uploading one, it would display the info about what to do in the sub.pl box and set all icons to not available on first load up. I also thought it might remove any risk of chmod problem.

Let me know how your install goes!

The mod installed beutifully on my clean board.  I like how you have followed the template on adding data to the weather.info file  A couple of suggestions

1) Make note in the mod instructions where to change the Celcius thing to the Farenheit, and mp to mmHg

2)  Add this around the Severe Weather alert thing - $weather[11]

Code
Select All
~;
if ($weather[11] ne "") {$yymain .= qq~$weather[11]~;}
$yymain .= qq~

This will show the severe weather alert if someone actually puts an alert in the weather.info file.  Otherwise, the red alert thing will not be printed.  Just a little tweek.

Everything else looks really good.  So when you post it, make sure you say that I will be handeling the support concerning the perl code.   I will be watching the thread anyway and give help where I can.

If you have any other ideas let me know.  I look forward to working with you again.  What a pleasure it has been.

I added the code around the severe weather line, but I can't get it to work. It's showing it all the time. Have I missed something?

Code
Select All
~;

if ($weather[11] ne "") {$yymain .= qq~<BR><BR><img src="$imagesdir/weathericon/severe.gif"><font color="#FF0000">$txtwet{'18'}<font color="#000000">$weather[11]~;}

I tweaked it a little today as there were some really nice night weather images included in that package. So it now shows icons for today, tonight, tomorrow, day3, day 4 and day 5.
Take a look on my forum to see what I've done. I will upload the new file when I've got this severe weather working Wink

OK, I've added the C and mb to the english.lng file and amended the code in the others. This way, users only need to amend one file if they wish to display it in other formats.

I've also removed the weather.info file and amended the mod instructions accordingly.

I've uploaded the latest version for you to look at HERE

I tried sorting out the severe weather code, but no matter what I try, it doesn't want to know. So I've removed it for now.
