Hi There,

Wonder if anyone can sort this out for me, when I try to install this mod I get an error at step 10 relating to my boardindex file.  I have attached it for reference so if anyone can help me out I would be grateful.

Paul.

Thanks for the suggestion, I finally managed to place it somewhere without it messing up the site. One more small problem has now came to light and that is the window where the weather shows up is too small and I cant find where the settings are for this area. Can anyone shed any light on this please?

My site is at http://www.mygarthamlock.co.uk and I have created a temp account   Username: test  Password: test.

Thanks again.

Where in the mod do you change the size of the window that appears with the weather in it, mine is too small and you cant see all of the info?

Secondly, how do you see weather info for more than one day?

Thanks

Here's a question. I've got the shoutbox mod installed and it really screws with my tables. I set up my own layout but I'm having some probs getting the weather mod installed. For boardindex.pl What's the best way to code this?

Code
Select All
<td>
<table>
###Custom Weather Mod -  Powered by http://weatherroom.com###

if($weathercentershow == '1' && ( $username ne 'Guest' )) {
 $wetbackbg = "FFFFFF";             # weather Background color
 $wetfontcolor = "000000";             # weather text font color
fopen(FILE, "$memberdir/$username.wet", 1);
        @wetsettings = <FILE>;
        fclose <FILE>;
        chomp @wetsettings;
            if ($wetsettings[0] ne '')
            {
$yymain .= qq~
<tr>
    <td class="catbg" bgcolor="$color{'catbg'}" colspan="2"><font size="2" class="catbg"> <b>$txtwet{'0'}</b></font></td>
  </tr><tr>
    <td class="windowbg" bgcolor="$color{'windowbg'}" width="20" valign="middle" align="center"><img src="$imagesdir/glove.gif" border="0" width="16" height="17"></td>
    <td class="windowbg2" bgcolor="$color{'windowbg2'}" align="center">
<a href="http://www.weatherroom.com/forecast/$wetsettings[0].html"><img src="http://www.weatherroom.com/cgi-bin/weather.cgi?forecast=zone&hwvtc=$wetfontcolor&hwvbg= $wetbackbg&pands=$wetsettings[0]&config=png&alt=hwizone&daysonly=1" alt="Weather for $wetsettings[0] provided by weatherroom.com" border="0"></a><p align="right"><font size="1">Powered by <a href="http://www.addresses.com/weather.php">Addresses.com
Weather </a></font></right>
</td>
</tr>~;
}

  }
###Custom Weather Mod -  Powered by http://weatherroom.com####
</table>
</td>

see how I stuck it in it's own table? I have one BIG table. I put the shoutbox mod in it's own table in table data1. I put the info center in it's own table in table data2. I want to put the weather mod into it's own table so I can stick it in table data3. Think you could help me figure out how to change it so that it will work like this? Thanks!!

The best way to do it will be using  a vertical line.. like in this picture

http://www.weatherroom.com/weatherforecast=zone&hwvtc=black&hwvbg=white&pands=CY...

try this for the boardindex..

Code
Select All
###Custom Weather Mod -  Powered by http://weatherroom.com###

if($weathercentershow == '1' && ( $username ne 'Guest' )) {
 $wetbackbg = "FFFFFF";             # weather Background color
 $wetfontcolor = "000000";             # weather text font color
fopen(FILE, "$memberdir/$username.wet", 1);
        @wetsettings = <FILE>;
        fclose <FILE>;
        chomp @wetsettings;
            if ($wetsettings[0] ne '')
            {
$yymain .= qq~
<table>
<tr>
    <td class="catbg" bgcolor="$color{'catbg'}" colspan="2" align="center"><font size="2" class="catbg"> <img src="$imagesdir/glove.gif" border="0" width="16" height="17"><b>$txtwet{'0'}</b></font></td>
  </tr><tr>
    <td class="windowbg2" bgcolor="$color{'windowbg2'}" align="center">
<a href="http://www.weatherroom.com/forecast/$wetsettings[0].html"><img src="http://www.weatherroom.com/weather?forecast=zone&hwvtc=$wetfontcolor&hwvbg=$wetbackbg&pands=$wetsettings[0]&config=png&alt=hwivzone&daysonly=1" alt="Weather for $wetsettings[0] provided by weatherroom.com." border="0"></a><p align="center"><font size="1">Powered by <a href="http://www.addresses.com/weather.php">Addresses.com</a></font></center>
</td>
</tr>
</table>~;
}

  }
###Custom Weather Mod -  Powered by http://weatherroom.com####

I sandwhiched the code between the table data tags and I got this error:

Bareword found where operator expected at ./Sources/BoardIndex.pl line 570, near ""catbg" bgcolor"

feel free to look at my boardindex. Thanks!! I really appreciate it.

P.S. I'm getting better at this! Thanks for being so patient!

so I've tried taking snippets of code out here and there and I can get it to come up but to do so, it ends up showing
Code
Select All
if($weathercentershow == '1' && ( $username ne 'Guest' )) {
 $wetbackbg = "FFFFFF";		 # weather Background color
 $wetfontcolor = "000000";		 # weather text font color
fopen(FILE, "$memberdir/$username.wet", 1);
	  @wetsettings = <FILE>;
	  fclose <FILE>;
	  chomp @wetsettings;
		if ($wetsettings[0] ne '')

Any suggestions?
