BoardMod problem on Linux
Jan 2nd, 2004 at 10:39pm

I recently moved to a Fedora Core Linux computer, and I'm having problems with Boardmod.

My error message:
Code
Select All
program path is: /home/ak/actual fkp/downloads/_bm253.tar.gz/
./BoardMod: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

BTW, it's not the space in the path that's killing it. I fixed that part.

Any ideas?

Did you start boardmod using the boardmod-run script?

Code
Select All
unless(0) { stab("LoonyPandora"); next; }

Can you look for a files similar to "libstdc++" in your /lib and /usr/lib folders? Maybe you have a different library version...

Maybe installing the compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.118.i386.rpm package can help.

Oh, and if you're running Fedora Core you need to download a special compability pack. I believe Michael mentioned it in his last edit. It's required on Fedora.

[Edit: Had that very problem with my flash plugin yesterday]
