MemberMap 2.7 for SP 1.1 and SP 1.2

This mod adds a map-function to YaBB for members to "pin" their location on a map.

Uninstall any previous versions of MemberMap and evt. add-on's before installing this version.

New since ver. 1.51:
-the "Edit Map" opens in a new window for more compatibility
-state/region selection is included but can be disabled by Admin

New since ver. 2.0
-enables members to remove their pin from the member map

New since ver. 2.1
-admin can make location required on registration from Admin-Center
-view members map in members "View Profile"

New since ver. 2.5:
-Admin can allow/disallow gender-colored pins from Admin-Center
-If gender-color disallowed, admin can choose red, green or blue pin color
-Admin can set view/hide location in posts as flag, text or both from Admin-Center

New since ver. 2.5:
-Javascript bug fixed
-Biography bug fixed

Features:

Everybody can (guests only if allowed by Admin):
-view location of members on the main-map
-click on a members pin to view the members profile
-click on a name in the name list in main-map to make the members pin flash
-view members map in members "View Profile"

Members and Adnim can:
-select map, type location, select State/Region* and Country
-point and click on a map to place a pin where they live
-edit their location at any time from "View Profile"
-remove pin from map

Admin can:
-admin can make location required on registration from Admin-Center
-add own maps
-change the name, number and order of maps
-add/delete countries and flags
-add/delete states/regions
-allow/disallow guest access to member map
-allow/disallow state/region selection
-sort the main-map name list by country or name
-view hide index-headers in name list
-allow/disallow gender-colored pins from Admin-Center
-If gender-color disallowed, admin can choose red, green or blue pin color
-set view/hide location in posts as flag, text or both from Admin-Center

*if enabled by Admin.

Included in the zip file:

-MemberMap.pl
-MemberMap.mod
-country.txt (204 countries)
-continent.txt (6 continents + USA, Canada and Middle America)
-state.txt (120 states/regions/territories in USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, Austria and Switzerland)
-9 maps in .gif format
-204 flags in .gif format

-YaMS 4.02 MemberMap-column add-on
-Mod for compatibility with Member Search by dOCda_S
-readme.txt
-map_howtodo.txt

New Maps:

If you want to add new Maps they must be 550x430 pixels .gif format and should have a meaningfull name (use lowercase and underline for spaces ex.: new_zealand.gif). Upload your new map to your Images folder, and go to "Admin-center - Member Controls - Setup Member Map" and add the name of the Map without the .gif extention (use uppercase and underline for spaces ex.: New_Zealand).
In order to make room for the pins there must be at least 4 pixel "no mans land" at the left and 10 pixel at the top of the map.

Download: MemberMap 2.7
Example: Test Board
Preview: Main Map
Preview: Edit Map

@G-WizZ - in Admin Center - Forum Preferences and Steeings - Member Map area, there's an option "View location in Posts" where you can check "text" or "flag" or both.

Call me pathetic, but your graphic for the Canadian flag is... well... not very accurate!  Cry

Could you replace it with this one in future releases?

Mea clupa (Very, very sorry). I didn't release the common jocular expression in Canada doesn't translate well  Sad :bigcry: It was intended with a spirit of humour.

I'm sure, though, that you would understand if your flag was distorted in a similar manner.

@xtrasweetgirl - not to happy to admit it - but that is a nice, user friendly little feature Michael have added to the MemberMap  Grin

Here's a small mod for you to test (actually i have tested it successfully)  Wink

MemberMap link addon

This mod is only for boards with MemberMap already installed. If you use BoardMod make sure your have the MemberMap.pl in your BoardMod's YaBB Sources folder.

GrinYike! Thanks for the quick respond Carsten... what I ended up doing was opening up the subs.pl file and created a new sub template (sub map template) and add a new yabb tag <map>

Code
Select All
$yymap = $username eq 'Guest' ? qq~$txt{'249'} <a href="$cgi;action=login">$txt{'34'}</a> $txt{'377a'} <a href="$cgi;action=register">$txt{'97'}</a> $txt{'377b'}.~ : qq~<script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript">
<!--
      function MapEditwin(FileName,WindowName) {
            WindowFeature="Resizable=No,ScrollBars=No,MenuBar=No,Directories=No,ToolBar=No,Location=No,Status=No,Width=762,Height=431,ScreenX=0,ScreenY=0,Top=0,Left=0"
            newWindow=open(FileName,WindowName,WindowFeature);
            if (newWindow.opener == null) { newWindow.opener = self; }
            if (newWindow.focus) { newWindow.focus(); }
      }
//-->
</script>
&#171; <a href=javascript:MapEditwin('http://www.onlineteenclub.netfirms.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=&action=mmedit&username=$useraccount{$username}')><font size=2 color="#000000">Add your location</font></a> &#187; ~ ;

then made the changes for my new template in membermap.pl and then of course  i uploaded the new maptemplate.html to my yabb dir and added the new yabb tag...

that did it for me...

How would I go about moving the Member list box that currently appears on the right of the map to below the map or perhaps remove it altogether?  I'm working with a fairly small template area for the forum and if I moved this portion it would work perfectly.  Thanks for the help  Grin
