I am currently thinking of rewriting/updating the BoardMod FAQs since they are partially outdated. If you have any suggestions or if you want to rewrite some parts then please let me know. Kiss

Good idea. What about a FAQ for Mods???

Like - how do I make function for admin only etc

Saves answering the same question 50 times a month. 8)

I guess that would confuse people, they'd no longer know where to look for their question, bm or mod... they don't know the difference.

How about having different sections within the same FAQ?

Section 1 - Questions about the BoardMod program.
Section 2 - Questions about using Mod files.
Section 3 - Questions about writing Mod files?

(OK, so technically this could be three seperate FAQs, but as long as they're clearly labelled and in a logical order, there shouldn't be any confusion!)

i would really appreciate it if someone could write such FAQ's.

the mod writer FAQ btw should define some programming-standards...

so not everyone starts a new faq - what about posting here what who wants to do and attaching current versions?

That's what I'm talking about. Maybe when you click on the FAQ link you get a page with just the above with links to different pages ???

think about this: I've successfully installed BM, I downloaded a mod and copied it to my bm folder. When I try to install it I run into a problem, the mod won't install, some error message I don't understand. Now I visit the BM FAQ page to see if my problem is unique. Now what should I choose? Is it a question about the boardmod program since it shows me an error? Or is this all about mod files?
