[YaBB Release] YaBB 2.5.2 - First in two years! :: 2012-10-21 at 23:10

YaBB is back today with release version 2.5.2. This is the first official YaBB release in more than two years. Much work has been done on the "future" of YaBB which is not quite ready, but this 2.5.2 release provides many bug fixes and additional features, primarily spam-fighting tools. Please celebrate with us, as we begin to bring some life back into Yet another Bulletin Board.
2.5.2 is dedicated to the memory of Ron Hartendorp, AKA Spikecity. His work on past YaBB software versions and his help to the YaBB Community will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with his loved ones and friends. He left the world too soon.

Since your hosting provider XIMinc is going out of business soon, we had to move to a new server. I'd like to thank Corey Chapman who made it possible to host this project for the passed 10 years free of charge.
Our new host is sourceforge.net, which we already used for file releases anyway. The domain boardmod.org has already been updated, so there should be no visible change for the user. In case you spot something not working correctly, please let me know.

I'm pleased to announce a new YaBB version: 2.5 AE (Anniversary Edition). The release date was chosen because of YaBB's 10th anniversary, congratulations to YaBB and thanks to the development team for putting so much work into this.
The new version comes with several new features (some highlights: code syntax highlighting and more ajax support) as well as tons of bug and layout fixes. It also sports a new template theme (see screenshot below). For a detailed changelog, please refer to the official YaBB announcement.
